HOMEOPATHY REGULATION UPDATE MAY 29,2007
It is matter of immense pleasure to announce that the third and final reading of the Bill 171 have gone through on 28/5/2007 for granting a SEPARATE COLLEGE OF HOMEOPATHY IN ONTARIO. Our dreams of having a separate college of Homeopathy have therefore come true and it is matter of some time from now when the Bill 171- Schedule P 1 Homeopathy Act 2007, will get a Statutory Status for the practice of Homeopathy in Ontario.
Among others, Prof. Bhupinder Sharma, President of the Homeopathic Medical Association of Canada was present in the Visitor’s Gallery of the Ontario Parliament - when the third reading of the Bill 171 was made by Honorable Minister of Health and Long Term Care George Smitherman, MPP. After debate, the bill would go for Royal Assent and would become Homeopathy Act, 2007 shortly.
It is a dream come true for all the Qualified Homeopaths who would have special privileges to practice Homeopathy legally in Canada.
