Dear HMAC Members, Greetings.
HMAC board of directors wishes you and your family a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2009.
In the new year we pray for the unity of the entire homeopathic community in Ontario to take on the process of regulation of homeopathy – which we have achieved with great effort –to successful implementation by the Government of Ontario. We also wish to thank our members for their faith and trust in our Association for achieving this great success by your co-operation and participation in the Seminars, Professional Development Programs, homeopathic awareness and promotional programs organized through Health events etc. which resulted in the historic achievement in Ontario with the passage of Homeopathic Act 2007 in Ontario Parliament and receiving Royal Assent on June 4, 2007.
Our achievements for the year 2008 include the 2nd International Homeopathic Conference at Centenniel College and Conference Centre in Toronto, from 17-18 May, 2008, which was addressed by M.P/M.P.P’s represented and attended by the Canadian and International Homeopaths including students of homeopathy from various institutions. Hon. George Smitherman, Deputy Premier of Ontario and the then Health Minster had sent his greeting message for the event which was published in the Special Edition of Souvenir. We had organised monthly meetings/events which include another two big Seminars by Dr. D.P. Rastogi, D.M.S.Hons.(Cal.)Gold Medalist, M.B.S,Hons.(W.Bengal). D.F.Hom.(London), M.D.(Hom.). and the second by Dr. Dorina Balter, DDS(Canada)Dentist. The Association have since awarded CME certificates for these events. During this year our Membership have grown very fast owing to the best quality of the programs and events organised by the Association for promotion of “International Standards Compliant Homeopathy” in Canada.
The new year 2009 would be another historical year for Homeopathy in Ontario as the Transitional Council and Registrar will be in place during this year, who would play the vital role in implementation of the ‘Homeopathic Act 2007’ including accepting and processing applications for registration of the homeopaths in Ontario.
At the end we salute to Dr. Hahnemann, who gave us this great Medical system of Healing Art and we wish that this New Year 2009. brings you all best of health, happiness, wisdom and prosperity.
